Paint Car : Painting a car is the process of applying paint onto a car. Paint car is a slug that typically means the entire car gets painted. This process can be performed many ways depending on the quality of the job. A cheap way is to tape off everything and do as little prep work as possible to paint the car. A better way is to remove lights, glass, moldings, emblems and other bolt on parts. After disassembly, sand the car down thoroughly. Then, prep the car for painting. This method is used by the more reputable paint and body shops.
Quality of Paint The paint quality is very important. If you go through all of the work to paint a car, you should do it correctly the first time. Quality paint and prep materials will ensure the paint will last a long time while resisting the outside everyday elements such as sun and rain. Lower quality paints and materials will crack, fade, rust, peel and or chip constantly. The car will look better only temporarily.
Quality of Prep Sanding a car properly will ensure the paint will have a better chance of sticking to the car. Other factors to consider is the previous paint work. If you have a bad paint job already, the paint has to be stripped down to prevent the new paint from lifting. This occurs when the paint underneath does not hold to the auto body and causes the new paint to lift or bubble.
Collision Shop Choice Choose a collision paint shop that regularly uses the quality paint and materials. Choose a shop that can show you previous work and has great reviews from previous customers.
