Calipers : Located on disc brake systems, calipers are used to apply brake pressure to brake pads for stopping the vehicle. Calipers are usually made with 1, 2 or 4 pistons and hydraulic seals. Brake calipers use brake fluid to apply, however some calipers also have a mechanical mechanism or electronic mechanism to apply the emergency brakes as well.
