Accumulator : On an automotive AC system, this accumulates the ac refrigerant and filters it from moisture and contaminates. On a brake system, it helps store brake pressure, on a fuel injection system, it helps store fuel pressure needed for starting, on an air suspension, it acts as an air pressure tank for the air suspension and on a hydraulic suspension, it stores the hydraulic pressure.
